Founded in 2006, the company has grown to a staff of over 40, and have been recognised with awards for fast growth, excellent service and innovation.


The company provide products which are not only high quality, but which also offer genuine value for money. This is backed up by a dedicated engineering team (operating 24-7, 365 days per year) and a focused Customer Service Team.

Meet the Healthcare Matters Family

Phil Spiby

Founder & Managing Director

Phil started Healthcare Matters in 2005. Having worked in manufacturing for over 20 years, Phil suffered a heart attack. He’d always wanted to work for himself and took this opportunity to set up his own company. Phil was joined in the company within the first 18 months by his daughter Leigh and son Adam.

Adam Spiby

Sales Director

Adam has worked for Healthcare Matters for a decade, working in many different roles. Adam now heads up the Sales side of the business and supports the equipment assessors within the company.

Leigh Roberts

Operations Director

Leigh has a background in care, having managed Sister company Homecare Matters for a number of years. Leigh is passionate about providing high standards of care and excellent customer service.

Nick Roberts

Service Manager

Nick Roberts is Leigh’s husband. Nick heads up the service side of the business and has done for 8 years now. With a background in building, Nick also leads the ceiling track installations arm of Healthcare Matters.
